Aren't Birds Brilliant! - Peregrine falcons at Malham Cove
If you want to get exceptional views of the peregrine falcon, one of the most impressive birds of prey in the country, along with a variety of other characteristic upland bird species then Malham Cove is the place to be.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) are running the ‘Aren’t Birds Brilliant!’ (ABB) scheme again in 2008. It's one of many projects the RSPB are promoting across the country to give people the chance to get close to birds.

Wardens and volunteers from both the RSPB and YDNPA will be present at Malham Cove every day from late March until late July to show visitors some of the exciting birds that can be found in the Yorkshire Dales.
There is no need to bring any of your own equipment as there are a number of telescopes at the viewpoint.
So if you want to see the resident peregrines, little owls, green woodpeckers or redstarts, and find out more about them, please stop off at the free viewpoint.
